6 years old and younger - must play all of
Twinkle Variations

  • Master class Lessons (4 students/hour)

  • Playing Group Class - 30 minutes

  • Eurhythmics Class - 30 minutes

  • Parent Discussion Group

Students must be assisted by parents

BOOK 1 and 2 STUDENTS

  • Master class Lessons (4 students/hour)

  • Playing Group Class - 45 minutes

  • Eurhythmics or Reading Class - 45 minutes

  • Parent Discussion Group

  • Special Concerts every day

Students must be assisted by parents

BOOK 3 and UP STUDENTS

  • Master class Lessons (3 students/hour)

  • Playing Group Class - 45 minutes
    Eurhythmics or Reading Class - 45 minutes

  • Parent Discussion Group

  • Special Concerts every day

It is recommended that parents be available
to assists students.

TWEEN PROGRAM - Students 12 & Older

Students must be at least at the level of Suzuki violin Book 5
or viola and cello Suzuki Book 4.

  • Master class Lessons (2 students/hour)

  • Technique/Scale Class - 45 minutes

  • Repertoire Class - 45 minutes

  • Arranging pop music for your instrument

  • Special Concerts every day

A Typical Virtual Day
A typical day at the Westchester Virtual String Institute may include:
9:00 am schedule begins
9am - 12 pm, 1pm - 2 pm: Classes for all students
2pm - 3pm – Optional Enrichment classes (Fiddling, Composition/ Improvisation, Music Theory)
3pm - 4 pm: Special Concerts Faculty Concert, Argus Quartet, Student Solo Recital, Play Down Concert - the final day and others!

All virtual classes will be held over Zoom, fully sup-ported by the tech supervisor – Jeremy Goldsmith.
Please plan prior to registering for the Westchester Virtual Institute:

 
  • Available devices for all participants in your house-hold. Devices must have a well-functioning video camera and microphone. Desktops, laptops, tablets and newer cell phones are all viable options.
  • Your household internet connectivity and bandwidth strength.
  • Internet glitches - Teachers will do their best to accommodate if such circumstances arise in your household but there will be no refunds issued for any missed lessons.
 
Registration is on-line or via US Mail and full payment is due by check with registration form. Registration deadline: June 5, 2020.
All participants of the 2020 Westchester Virtual Work-shop will receive 10% off of tuition for the 2021 in-person Institute at Manhattanville College.
